The Blues....

This year's fall fashion is all about color. Whether it's mixing and matching patterns or, just simply playing with several shades of one particular color.... color is definitely a major part of this season. I decided to do a look with different shades of blue. Blue is making its come back... I must say. Remember when blue eye shadow was the thing back in the 80's?? Some of us look back on that time and, ask ourselves "what were we thinking"? LOL!!!

We can now incorporate the color blue into our style in a way that is more blended and stylish.

I'm on this thrifty kick and, I was able to locate this beautiful dress at a local thrift store. The dress has different shades of blue; and, it has a very vintage look and feel to it. It was paired with blue suede shoes which, I just love!  I found this "mink-like" coat at a local consignment shop. I couldn't leave it behind. Since the dress is extremely busy... the coat brings a more settle look into the outfit.

How do you rock different shades of a color?  #SaseeChicFashion

Holiday Look: Sweater Dress

It's the holiday season and, we all know that parties are in full affect.

In the past years, we have all seen the traditional red, green, gold and, winter white at many events.

What about black??

This holiday season I was able to locate plenty of black outfits that would be wonderful for parties. Yes, black is considered a formal color and it is found at many formal gatherings; but, not so much when it comes to Christmas and New Years. Well, I'm changing the game with this lovely black sweater dress (shown below). The dress features rhinestones around the cowneck and, it compliments my curvy figure quite well, I must say.  I'm a fishnet girl....of course... so, that was my hosiery of choice. The simply but, elegant black dress was paired with silver sequin shoes; which, gave my outfit the pop of color that was needed. I keep the the accessories simply and elegant. You cannot go wrong with a black clutch purse.... this is indeed a girls best "go to" accessories for parties and special gatherings.

Let me know what's you outfit of choice for this holiday season. #SaseeChicFashion

Thrifty Anyone??

We all can agree that fashion is constantly changing. A particular style can be "in" today and "out" tomorrow. To be in style doesn't mean you have to spend a "arm or leg"... in some cases maybe two legs. LOL!!  I've started to explore being a little more thrifty with my style. The style and/or my personality within my clothing hasn't changed at all. You have to spend a little time digging through the clothing to find the right outfit for you. Take this dress for example...

I was able to locate this dress at the local thrift store.... for only $5.00. Yes, $5.00!!! That is a great price for a dress. It can be dressed up or down.... I decided to dress it up in this photo. The dress was paired with a belt and blazer I already owned. Along with the hosiery and heels this made the perfect Sunday's outfit.

Tell me how you put your thrifty outfits together.

COLORS + PATTERNS = A Fashionista

I remember grown up being told that certain clothing had to be worn during a particular season. We all know the most famous saying, NO WHITE AFTER LABOR DAY.  it tickles me today how people really took that to heart. If you were seen in white after Labor Day... lord knows somebody would just about put you in hell. LOL!!!  Im so happy that the times have changed....

Some of the same saying were mention in reference to colors and patterns. I'm so happy we as individuals have come to the realization that style is what you make it. Applying colors and patterns together makes for a interesting combination. Take the outfit I'm wearing below for example.

We can all say that this is a colorful outfit; but, not overly done. There's no rules that say a colorful hosiery and shoes wouldn't work; but we all can agree that would most definitely be too much. So, the outfit was paired with black hosiery and shoes for balance. Plus, the top and skirt was my focal point and, I didn't want anything to take away from that. Remember, fashion is based on personality.... and, if you can rock it... Well...ROCK IT!!!

Your Style is all about "YOU". It's your personality!

The older I get... the more I realize that style is all about "YOU". I know...I know... you are probably saying that I've repeated this statement several times.  Well.... I truly meant it! You define your style; which, in other words... Your style is your personality. So, if it feels good to you "go for it".  Who gon' check you boo??? LOL!!

As I look at the four photos below... I've noticed how my personality is played out through each outfit. In other words, the outfit tells it's own story. Each attire that has been worn tells my mood or, how I was feeling that particular day.

Whatever your mood is that particular day... just remember to make sure you feel good in it. Once you feel good everything seems to just fall in place.

Remember.... Style is all about "YOU"
